It's Air Hockey, for your iPad

Despite what you may have read, the iPad was actually designed and built to be a virtual air hockey table.¹ And this is the app they had in mind.

We decided to make the best air hockey game we could. So instead of making crazy customisable everything, and a whole bunch of other things that you don't really need, we spent all our time making the game fast, fun and accurate. And fun. (Did we mention that it's fun?).

The small things matter to us, so we went to a lot of trouble to get the things right that the other guys don't care about. That's why the things that should move when you hit them move and the things that shouldn't stay put. Here's a few other things we think you'll enjoy:

• Artificial intelligence that is so smart we had to start feeding it beer just so we could beat it. (Be careful though - it doesn't like to be beaten and it has attitude)
• The clean, non-dizzying retro graphics of a simpler time
• No distractions - just simple, honest air hockey the way you remember it from when you were a kid (just crammed into your iPad instead)
• A really annoying buzzer sound, just to make sure you never miss a goal
